Accessibility Statement
This website is run by Upton & North Elmsall Parish Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.
For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- zoom in without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We have also aimed to make the website text as clear and easy to understand as possible.
How accessible this website is
The Parish Council has recently launched a new website, which has been designed to be more accessible and easier to use than the previous website.
We believe the website is mostly accessible. However, we are aware that some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. For example:
- some older PDF or Word documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader software
- some documents may open as downloads
- some third-party content, such as embedded maps or external links, may not be fully within our control
We will continue to review the website and make improvements where issues are identified.
